In an interview with CNN’s Brianna Keilar, Utah Governor Gary Herbert said that more than 50 percent of Utahns will make less than $100,000 annually. The governor’s remarks follow President Barack Obama’s announcement of a four-year, $1.3 trillion economic stimulus package with $200 billion in tax cuts to individuals, $100 billion for business, and a $75 billion grant to state and local governments.
The idea that all of these things will cause us to lose the next few years is just awful, but we’ll take our chances. There are some very good reasons for that.
The big story behind UTahn’s plan is the one that has so many people saying that the economy was “not good.” This is because UTahn has been a part of the nation for so long that every single time a new dollar comes along, UTahn receives a million dollars from the government. In other words, the government has been a part of the country for so long that it’s been an asshole for the next 5 years.
This is pretty much the same argument with a few changes. First, the UTahn is not technically a government. UTahn is a company, which means that the government also needs to be part of UTahn. Second, their plan is a bit more extreme. UTahn is basically going to give people an extra $1 million a month to spend on food, but it’s going to be spent like the government was: directly from the government.
While this is obviously a huge change, it’s not an entirely new concept. The government had a similar scheme in the late 90s and early 2000s. It’s called the food stamp program and the idea is pretty much the same: people get what they need to buy food on the government’s dime and then the government takes a percentage of what they spend.
The government has been spending money to help people, including the very rich, for over 20 years now. The only reason they stopped doing it is because they ran out of money and Congress was unable to pass the tax hikes needed to pay for it.
Now that the Republicans control Congress, they’ve had time to pass bills that will help people. One of their first bills is a reauthorization of the food stamp program. It will take the $7.6 billion in food stamp spending that is currently going to people on the streets and redistribute it to those who need it. It will also help people who are on food stamps to get their life-savings worth without all the extra paperwork and paperwork about their food stamps.
The food stamp reauthorization bill has been passed by both the House and the Senate. It would cost $1.2 billion in new fees and $2 billion in new benefits. The Republican version of this bill would be $1.1 billion.
That’s a lot of money, but if it’s going to be spent on the people who aren’t getting food in the first place, then it makes a lot of sense. The Senate bill is still being worked on. I could see Republican Senators demanding the entire budget be cut, but it’s a bit odd that they’re proposing this bill with a 1.1 billion price tag when they’ve already passed a massive reduction in the food stamp program.
We can’t even get a tax increase passed with a 1.1 billion increase in benefits just because of the 2 billion in new benefits. A 1.1 billion increase in benefits would be a lot of money, but that doesnt mean it should be spent on the people who arent getting food. If some of the benefits are going to go to people who have already had to pay food stamps, then they should be spending those benefits on the people who are currently getting benefits.
