I’m not a tree hugger, but I don’t see any reason to believe that a big tall guy like me should make a special trip to a big tall tree.

No, but I’ve been to a half dozen tree nurseries over the years. The ones I’ve seen are pretty impressive in the long term, but they’re not the thing that really matters to me. I want trees that grow for the long term. I like trees that are great for the environment, not just for me.
